FulGaz rides in Canada

Discover the beauty of Canada

Canada isn’t just about winter sports, it’s also home to some incredibly beautiful road rides. I’m proud to announce the new Canadian Collection. FulGaz contributor Mervyn Hiebert has gone out of his way to capture Canadian riding at it’s best, and his rides are simply stunning. There’s a tour to the famous Banff Springs Hotel, a close shave with a Grizzly Bear, an epic climb and some two and a half hour long rides showcasing the Velothon Edmonton and the Whistler GranFondo. Without question these are some of the most beautiful rides you’ll see anywhere. They’re not all super hard, so there’s something for everyone.

You’ll find the rides in the NEW category in FulGaz.

Banff
Take in the scenery on a ride around beautiful Banff and Lake Minniewanka. This is a moderately hilly ride with an initial steep pinch out of Banff being the main challenge. After that it’s a great scenic roll on some beautiful roads and bike paths known only to the locals.

Edmonton Velothon
Get in amongst it and enjoy riding on the same course as the UCI ranked event run on the same day. Lightly undulating terrain. This ride is well over two hours long, so it’s a good choice for a steady endurance ride.

Whistler GranFondo
Starting in the dark, ride the Sea to Sky Highway on closed roads in North America’s premiere cycling event: The Whistler GranFondo! This is a solid two and a half hour ride with the climb of Mt Cypress early on to test the legs.

Red Rock Canyon
A shorter ride through beautiful Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta. There are a few small climbs on your way to Red Rock Canyon.
