FulGaz HD Cycling Videos: Ride the World’s Best Routes

Payne Road

Berwick, Vic, Australia

About the ride

As the name suggests, there’s some pain ahead. Things start off easy enough, but stiffen up as you wind your way round the ridge. This climb doesn’t get ridden much because it’s hidden away, but it’s superb training because it covers just about every gradient you'll ever ride, from dead flat through gentle grades to steep pinches. Beware of a sting in the tail too. The final pinch near the end is around a 22% gradient.Terrain - Rolls up a progressively steeper set of pinches. After a short descent, the final one is over 20%
