This is the finishing loop of the race and is tackled three times. The loop closely follows the 2010 UCI Road World Championship course around the streets of Geelong. The course undulates for most of it’s duration, with several significant climbs. There’s rarely a flat piece of road in the whole loop and it’s easy to understand why ridden at race pace, this course tears the filed apart. Having said that, if you take your time, it’s not too bad when you don’t have pros trying to rip your legs off!. Loops are rides where the start and finish are at the same point, this lets you do multiple laps without getting weird distances in Strava etc. To ride multiple laps of a ride non-stop, go to Settings then select Laps from the Ride Modes menu.
